IT Support Technician

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ÎçÒ¹av is seeking an energetic and talented IT Support Technician to join our Integrated Technology Services team.  Providing support in a diverse and complex environment, the ability to continually learn and incorporate new technologies into the ÎçÒ¹av environment is as important as proficiency with core computing and networking platforms.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, and an excellent problem-solver who continually strives to find better ways to deliver services and support to the ÎçÒ¹av community.

Duties will include: 

  • Provide excellent customer service to staff and students.
  • Hardware and software installation/support/security.
  • Network/cloud configuration, integration/support/security.
  • Multimedia hardware/software support.
  • Documentation, analysis, and ongoing training.
  • Presentations technologies including webcams/cameras, lecture capture technologies, projectors, audio systems, etc..
  • Occasional travel to other ÎçÒ¹av centres.
  • Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A diploma in Computer Networking Technology or Computer Information Systems, or a similar 2-year post-secondary information technology program.
  • Innovative with an aptitude for learning and applying new concepts/technologies.
  • Proficiency with mobile technologies and collaboration apps/tools such as found in Microsoft 365.
  • Detail oriented and able to consistently deliver quality results in a timely manner.
  • Solid understanding of networking, operating systems, and virtualization fundamentals.
  • Ability to clearly explain technology concepts and operations to others, both in person and in writing.
  • Very organized with excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
