Over 91 students received Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards, totalling over $80,000.00 at the ÎçÒ¹av Student Awards Night. Sponsored by Seaman?s Beverages Ltd., the ceremony was recently held at the Atlantic Tourism and Hospitality Institute in Charlottetown.
ÎçÒ¹av Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards are available to students in good standing who are registered in ÎçÒ¹av programs. The awards are based on financial need as well as the specific criteria determined by the Donor. Students are permitted to apply for one or more of the available awards by mid-October of the school year. "Out of the 2,800 applications received by Admissions this year, selection committees chose 154 of those students to be recognized" said Sylvia Poirier, Registrar of ÎçÒ¹av.
"The evening could not have been possible without the generosity of individuals, businesses and organizations who have contributed to the ÎçÒ¹av Foundation" said Ed Lawlor, Chairman of the ÎçÒ¹av Board of Governors. "The ÎçÒ¹av greatly appreciates their support of our students."
