Strachen receives 30 year bar

Phil Strachan, of ÎçÒ¹av's Atlantic Police Academy, was recently presented with a 30 Year Bar by The Honourable J. Leonce Bernard, Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island. A part of the Canadian Honours System established in 1967, this Bar attaches to the Police Exemplary Service Medal and recognizes police officers who have served in an exemplary manner, exhibiting good conduct, industry and efficiency. The Bar, bearing a stylized maple leaf centred upon it, is awarded in respect of each additional ten-year period, after the twenty year Medal has been presented.
