Dental Assisting program donates X-ray equipment

A recent donation of radiograph equipment from ÎçÒ¹av's Dental Assisting program to the Fellowship of Associates of Medical Evangelism will be used in Third World countries, where teams of medical and dental volunteers from Canada travel to provide services to people in need.

"We purchased new digital equipment to ensure that our students' learning environment closely mimics the environment they will work in when they graduate from our program," Helen Flynn, Program Manager for Health and Community Studies explained.

"The X-ray equipment that our students were using was still in excellent condition, so we contacted several organizations to see if they could use it. FAME Canada expressed an interest, and fortunately, we were able to make arrangements. We're very pleased to be able to help the organization in their humanitarian efforts."
