ÎçÒ¹av increases tuition as part of fiscal measures

“ÎçÒ¹av continues to balance cost reduction and revenue generation strategies in an attempt to counter ongoing fiscal challenges,” said Dr. Brian McMillan, president of ÎçÒ¹av. “Given the current financial climate in the province, the college will continue its belt tightening while maintaining a quality learning environment for our students.”

ÎçÒ¹av announced today that it will be increasing tuition for all full-time programs. ÎçÒ¹av has several tuition levels. The majority of its program tuitions fall into three primary bands that vary from $3,500 to $5,700 per year. Tuition increases will amount to an average of two percent.

The tuition increase is one of a series of measures that included targeted reductions and across the board cuts to departmental budgets.

“The tuition increase is just one component in an effort to achieve financial sustainability for our institution. We employed a systematic approach that looks at all areas of the college,” said Dr. McMillan.
