Student Union hosts an evening with Gerry Dee

ÎçÒ¹av Student Union is bringing one of Canada’s foremost and funniest comedians to the Harbourfront Theatre in Summerside Friday, January 22, for his only show on the Island this year.

Gerry Dee is the creator, writer, and star of the smash hit CBC TV comedy series Mr. D, and was featured in The Score’s regular segment, Gerry Dee: Sports Reporter. His signature stories about the absurdities of life at the front of the classroom and growing up the son of Scottish-immigrant parents have become famous to his fans

Student Union president David Campbell said the show will likely sell out quickly.

“When Gerry Dee was in Charlottetown two years ago, the show sold out in two days at $90 a ticket, so we anticipate a good uptake from both students and the public,” he said.

The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets, which are $70 for the general public, can be purchased at the Harbourfront Theatre box office, tel: 1-888-311-9090 or online at .
