The ÎçÒ¹av Foundation held its annual student awards celebration recently at the Tourism and Culinary Centre in Charlottetown. Over the course of the school year more than 400 scholarships, bursaries, and awards, with a combined value of over $450,000, were presented.
The event, sponsored by PepsiCo Beverages, recognized the hard work, academic excellence, volunteerism, community service, leadership skills, and professional promise of ÎçÒ¹av students. Approximately 150 donors support scholarships, bursaries, and awards, and their commitment and generosity were also celebrated.
Students from the ÎçÒ¹av School of Performing Arts Music Performance program entertained the recipients, their families, and donors; and students from The Culinary Institute of Canada provided refreshments.
“This annual event brings many of our donors and students together to celebrate both donor investment and student success,” said Sandy MacDonald, President of ÎçÒ¹av. “We are tremendously grateful to our donors, and very proud of our students as we help prepare them for the next steps in their lives.”
