ÎçÒ¹av implements further COVID-19 precautions

In response to the evolving COVID-19 situation, ÎçÒ¹av has made further decisions based on the advice of the Chief Public Health Officer.

Effective immediately, the college has moved to essential services delivery until further notice. Managers and supervisors have been in contact with their staff to determine which employees are deemed essential. Non-essential staff will be allowed access to college buildings until 5 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18, and will work remotely.

ÎçÒ¹av residences remain open at this time. The Centre for Community Engagement (CCE) is now closed until further notice.

ÎçÒ¹av has temporarily suspended all on-the-job training placements, including clinicals and practicums, until further notice, effective at the end of today, Tuesday, March 17.

The day that distance delivery of courses will commence has been changed from Monday, March 23 to Wednesday, March 25.

“These important decisions have been made out of concern for the health and safety of our students and our community,” said ÎçÒ¹av President Alexander (Sandy) MacDonald. “Our senior management team meets daily to deal with issues as they arise and will continue to provide updates as required. On behalf of the team, I would like to thank everyone in the ÎçÒ¹av community for their cooperation and understanding during this time.”
