Human Resource Management graduate Sara Clow recently concluded a MITACs internship with the Brackley Bay Oyster Company, helping the company develop its human resources process and creating a permanent position for herself at the same time.

MITACs is a non-profit organization that connects businesses and researchers to offer industry internships to post-secondary students. Sara’s work with the Brackley Bay Oyster Company included writing and implementing an entire human resources process. The process includes vetting and hiring all employees, providing staff training, manuals, and processes. Sara also implemented their staff management online tool. She has created job descriptions, checklists and manuals for all duties in their retail store.

After the internship ended, Sara was hired by Brackley Bay Oyster Company. Sara’s supervisor, Kendra Mills had positive things to say about Sara and the MITACS internship.
