Job Description

The City of Summerside is seeking highly motivated individuals to join the team at our Credit Union Place to work as Customer Service Representatives in both our Box Office/Front Desk and Bowling Lanes. Summerside’s bowling lanes offer five pin bowling, cosmic bowling, music, and is a licensed lounge. The Front Desk/Box Office is the hub of the building with membership processing, concert tickets to sell, questions to be answered and so much more! We are seeking applicants who can prioritize tasks effectively and can work well alone, but who can also thrive in a team environment. You must have a positive attitude combined with great customer service skills for both over-the-phone and in-person service. The Front Desk position requires staff who work well under pressure and possess the ability to adjust and adapt to changing needs. The ideal candidate would be reliable and have a great work ethic.

Qualifications

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS:

  • Sales of memberships and event tickets
  • General office duties
  • Proficiency with computer software, programs, and other technology components
  • Skilled at organizing and communicating a variety of information
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot and problem solve effectively
  • Proven commitment to a high standard of work
  • Bilingual skills would be considered an asset.

Other

To be considered for this position candidates must be able to work flexible hours which include early morning, daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. Must have or be willing to obtain a Responsible Beverage Server Certificate (19+) to work in the Bowling Lanes.
